OnlineUpscaler Video Upscaler

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 26, 2026

Overview

OnlineUpscaler is designed as a browser-based video upscaler. Your selected videos and images are processed locally in your browser whenever you use the tool. We do not require an account, and the app is built so your media files do not need to be uploaded to our servers for upscaling.

Files you process

Media files you choose remain on your device. The browser may decode video frames, run the upscaling model, and encode the result locally using browser features such as WebCodecs, WebGPU, WebGL, and local file APIs.

If you choose a save location or resume an interrupted upscale, your browser may ask for permission to read the original file or write the output file. Those permissions are handled by the browser.

Local storage

OnlineUpscaler may use browser storage, including IndexedDB, to remember an in-progress processing session so you can resume work after an interruption. This data stays in your browser unless you clear site data or remove it through browser settings.

Information we may receive

Because this is a static browser tool, we do not collect account profiles, uploaded media, or payment details. Our hosting provider may still process standard technical logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps to operate and secure the website.

Cookies and tracking

OnlineUpscaler does not require cookies for the core video upscaler workflow. If analytics or diagnostics are added later, this policy should be updated to describe what is collected and why.

Your choices

You can clear local site data in your browser, deny file permissions, or stop using the tool at any time. Clearing site data may remove resumable sessions and local settings.
